Presentation Summary:
In 1999 a short article was published in Pharmaceutical Technology titled "The Forgotten GLPs" in which the author focused on the most frequent warning letter citations. The author indicated that as the findings reported related to laboratory controls and records, it could be assumed that there is a lack of support for these important rules for performing research in support of official submissions made to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In my short time with you I will discuss the reasons for the publication of these quality assurance regulations for research demonstrating a chemical's safety.
