(Across from the Verizon Center, Gallery Place Metro Station)
Please use the Metro Rail (Gallery Place). Upon entering the lobby area, inform the guard that you are attending the "Performance Excellence" meeting. Additionally, contact Michael Smith at 301-651-2305 to be escorted.

Speaker Biography: Phil Obi
is a certified project management professional
(PMP) with 14+ year process, manufacturing,
quality, and reliability experience in energy
and transportation industries. He has a
bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering at
FUTO, and a master’s degree in software
engineering from University of Maryland
University College.
Phil held many positions of
increased responsibilities in Mobil Oil and
ExxonMobil, and rose to the position of
Aviation Superintendent. While at
ExxonMobil, he worked on the ISO certification
of lube plant and aviation operations.
He worked as a quality
officer for Washington Metropolitan Transit
Authority (WMATA). In this position, Phil
conducted many quality inspections and audits.
Phil at present is a Reliability Engineer at
WMATA focusing in managing reliability
improvement projects for Automatic Fare
Collection System, Communications, and Shop and
Materials Services.
Phil is passionate about
quality and has been involved in quality and
reliability for more than ten years. With a
burning desire to achieve needed changes, Phil
knows the necessity of proper requirements
articulation toward quality
improvements.
