Division Chair
Tuesday January 26,
2010
In this talk,
Nicole will introduce you to the American
Society for Quality (ASQ), an organization of
over 120,000 members worldwide. In particular,
she will cover the activities of the Software
Division, whose mission is to be the "leading
global authority, nexus for knowledge, and
recognized champion for excellence in
software." With over 4000 members, the Software
Division plans conferences, manages educational
opportunities, and participates in standards
development to help bridge the gap between
academia and practitioners who want to build
better software and promote continuous
improvement.
Nicole
Radziwill is Chair of the
American Society for Quality (ASQ) Software
Division through 2012. Dr. Radziwill is also on
the faculty of the Department of Integrated
Science and Technology at James Madison
University (JMU) in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She
has an MBA, a Ph.D. in technology management
with a specialization in quality systems, and
is certified by the ASQ as a Manager of Quality
and Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE). She has
also been appointed by the U.S. Department of
Commerce as an Examiner for the Malcolm
Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA),
