Program Summary:
Robert Baim is author of the popular project management book entitled, Avoiding the OS Phase®. In his presentation Bob will discuss the importance of choosing quality management processes and tools with attributes that are simple, credible and most importantly predictive. He will describe how these Avoidance Attributes™ can become a foundation for everything we do as quality management professionals. The OS Phase™ is quickly becoming a standard phrase to describe failures experienced on projects and even those recently experienced on Wall Street and the global financial markets. The OS Phase™ is the point in time where everything appears to be going well but then hits the wall. The OS Phase™ is that point in a project where the true project status is revealed and the project team is forced to admit that they are in trouble.
Speaker Biography:
Bob is an internationally
recognized executive consultant, trainer, and
author. He divides his time between teaching
advanced principles of project management and
helping major corporations to actually
implement efficient project management
processes. He has consulted to numerous Fortune
500 companies in a broad range of industries
including process plant design and
construction, software and network development,
telecommunications, robotics, automotive, and
financial management. Previously Bob held
executive positions in information systems and
computer operations, total quality management,
power plant maintenance, contract management,
project control, and business management. Bob
served also as adjunct professor with

495. Go N. Rt. I-270 (in Maryland). Take Exit
11 off of I-270 East onto Route 124 (Montgomery
Village Avenue). Make the first right at the
intersection of Route#355 (Frederick Avenue).
Go South on Frederick Avenue 0.5 miles. Make
right turn onto Dalamar Street to #7 Dalamar
Street.
From the intersection of Shady Grove
Road and Frederick Avenue (Rt. 355) (in
Maryland). Go North on Frederick Avenue about
seven miles. Crossover overpass. Continue North
to Dalamar Street, and then turn left onto #7
Dalamar Street. Ample parking is available at
restaurant.
