Description: Many LSS deployments start
with a flurry of activity, but then the
excitement and activity begins to slow. The
deployment may begin to lose traction. The
Baldrige criteria may be a framework that can
help you focus your efforts.
Organizations that have a robust LSS
deployment may have already implemented
elements of the Baldrige criteria without even
realizing it.
This presentation will provide a quick
overview of the Baldrige framework and
highlight elements of the criteria that
integrate well with an LSS deployment.
Information regarding becoming involved
as an Examiner or an Applicant for local and
national programs will be
provided.
Speaker: Dr. Patricia Selcher is an ASQ Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence. Dr. Selcher has worked with the Federal Government (most noticeably SPAWAR, INSCOM, and IMCOM) and commercial clients to build infrastructure to support organizational improvement. She uses a Baldrige-inspired approach to align project selection to strategic goals to deliver results that move the organization forward. Dr. Selcher also has 14 years experience in design for manufacturing engineering for NASA, automotive, weapon systems development, and R&D. Dr. Selcher served as a member of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Board of Examiners in 2005 and 2007 and is currently serving for 2010. She has also served as a United Senate Productivity Quality Award Examiner for the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2003, 2004, 2008.
