Certified Quality Auditor Refresher Course  

ASQ Section 509 is pleased to offer a refresher course for quality professionals who want to prepare for the Quality Auditor Certification Exam administered by the American Society for Quality.  The CQA Body of Knowledge will be reviewed and participants will be given a sample exam questions throughout the course. This will help them identify topics they should concentrate on as they prepare for the actual exam. Levels of cognition will be reviewed and their use in defining the intended complexity of multiple choice test questions will be identified.

Dates:  The course will consist of six 4-hour sessions (24 classroom hours).  Sessions will be on Saturdays from 8am to Noon.      

Actual class dates are:

• April 21, 28

• May 5, 12, 19, and 26

Instructor: Sandra L. Menzies, ASQ Section 509.

Ms. Menzies has been a senior member of ASQ since 2001. Ms. Menzies has held quality-related positions with Biocon, Inc., Otsuka Maryland Research Institute, TherImmune Research Corporation, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). She is currently the Quality Manager for the Laboratory of Immunobiochemistry within the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Review within the FDA.  She holds ASQ Certifications as a Quality Auditor, and Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.   

Tuition: $395 payable to ASQ 509, which is offering the course. 

Course Materials: We will be using certification materials from the Quality Council of Indiana.  Required materials for the course are:

• CQA Primer - $70

• Solution Text - $35

ASQ CQA Exam Information: 

Dates: Exam date is Saturday, June 2, 2012.  Application deadline is April 13, 2012.

Location: Exam location is in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC.  Applicants will be notified of location and time by National ASQ.

Exam Application: Application for the exam is done directly with National ASQ (http://prdweb.asq.org/certification/control/quality-auditor/index).

CQA Exam Cost: $399 for non-members, $259 for members.  Join ASQ and save!  Exam applicants are responsible for meeting ASQs certification requirements.
