Certified Six Sigma Green Belt Refresher Course  

ASQ Section 509 is pleased to offer a refresher course for quality professionals who want to prepare for the Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Exam administered by the American Society for Quality.  The Six Sigma Green Belt Body of Knowledge will be reviewed and participants will be given a sample exam questions throughout the course. This will help them identify topics they should concentrate on as they prepare for the actual exam. Levels of cognition will be reviewed and their use in defining the intended complexity of multiple choice test questions will be identified.

Dates:  The course will run four weeks from May 5 - 26.  Sessions will be on Saturday mornings from 8am to Noon.  Actual class dates are: May 5, 12, 19, and 26

Instructors: Cathy Oliveri and Joe Conklin, ASQ Section 509

Ms. Oliveri is a Member of the ASQ with over 20 years experience in software and systems development. She has held quality related positions at IBM, the SAS Institute, and Lockheed Martin, and is currently the Program Manager and Lead Master Black Belt for LSS Training for the TSA.   She is a Master Black Belt, a Senior Member of the ASQ, and is certified by the ASQ as a Six Sigma Black Belt, a Software Quality Engineer, and a Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence.

Joseph D. Conklin is a mathematical statistician in Washington, D.C. He earned a master's degree in statistics from Virginia Tech and is a senior member of ASQ.  Conklin is an ASQ certified quality manager, quality engineer, quality auditor, reliability engineer, and Six Sigma Black Belt.

Tuition: $275 payable to ASQ 509, which is offering the course.

• CSSGB Primer - $70
• Solution Text - $35

ASQ CSSGB Exam Information:

Dates: Exam date is Saturday, June 2, 2012.  Application deadline is April 13, 2012.
Location: Exam location is in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC.  Applicants will be notified of location and time by National ASQ.
Exam Application: Application for the exam is done directly with National ASQ (http://prdweb.asq.org/certification/control/six-sigma-green-belt/index).
CQA Exam Cost: $339 for non-members, $199 for members.  Join ASQ and save!  Exam applicants are responsible for meeting ASQs certification requirements.
